Billing & Access FAQ
Absolutely Indie Network (AIN) / Thrive TV
Last Updated: [Insert Date]

Welcome to Absolutely Indie Network (AIN) and Thrive TV. This Billing & Access FAQ is here to help you understand subscriptions, Pay-Per-View (PPV), access, and troubleshooting.

1) Do I need internet to watch AIN or Thrive TV?

Yes. AIN and Thrive TV require an active internet connection to stream:

  • Linear (scheduled) channels
  • Video on Demand (VOD)
  • Pay-Per-View (PPV) live events
  • Replays and archived content
  • Subscription and purchase verification

2) What’s the difference between Linear, VOD, and PPV?

Linear (Live Stream / Scheduled Programming):
A “live TV-style” channel with scheduled content at specific times.

VOD (Video on Demand):
Watch content anytime you choose (like a library).

PPV (Pay-Per-View):
A one-time purchase that gives you access to a specific live event or special programming window.

3) What subscription plans are available?

AIN may offer two subscription options:

Premium Subscription (No Ads)

  • A paid plan with an ad-free viewing experience
  • Includes access to eligible premium programming

Ad-Supported Subscription

  • A lower-cost plan that includes ads
  • Revenue is earned through both your subscription payment and advertising

Plan features may vary by platform and may change as the Service grows.

4) How do I pay for subscriptions or PPV?

Billing may be handled by the platform you are using to watch AIN (for example, Roku billing or other platform payment systems).

Your purchase and subscription history may appear on your statement under the platform provider’s billing name.

5) When will I be charged?

Subscriptions:

You are typically billed:

  • at the start of your subscription period, and
  • again at each renewal cycle unless canceled

PPV:

PPV purchases are generally charged immediately at checkout.

Exact billing timing depends on your platform provider.

6) How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions must be canceled through the platform where you subscribed.

For example:

  • If you subscribed through Roku, cancel through your Roku account settings.

Cancellation policies and timing are set by each platform provider.

7) Do you offer refunds?

Subscriptions:

Subscription refunds are subject to the rules of the platform where you subscribed.

PPV (Pay-Per-View):

Unless required by law or stated otherwise at the time of purchase:
✅ PPV purchases are final and non-refundable.

If a PPV event is canceled or materially disrupted, we may offer (at our discretion):

  • replacement access
  • credit toward a future event
  • replay access
  • partial refund (when appropriate)

8) Why can’t I access the PPV event I purchased?

Most access issues are solved quickly. Common reasons include:

  • using a different Roku/device account than the one used to purchase
  • purchasing on one device and trying to watch on another account
  • temporary internet connection issues
  • the event window has not started yet
  • platform verification delay

✅ Try this first:

  1. Confirm you're logged into the same account used for purchase
  2. Close and reopen the channel/app
  3. Restart your device
  4. Check your internet connection
  5. Try playing a different piece of content to confirm the Service is loading

9) What time zone are events scheduled in?

Unless stated otherwise, event times are displayed based on your device/platform settings or the event listing. Always check the event page for the confirmed start time.

10) What if the livestream buffers, freezes, or doesn’t start?

Live streaming depends on internet speed and stability. If you experience buffering or freezes:

 Troubleshooting steps:

  • Restart the channel/app
  • Restart your Roku/device
  • Power cycle your modem/router
  • Reduce other streaming or heavy internet usage in your household
  • If possible, use a wired connection

11) Can I watch PPV replays after the live event ends?

Some PPV events may include replay access, but not all. Replay availability depends on:

  • event rights
  • licensing restrictions
  • platform availability
  • sponsor/partner requirements

If replay access is included, it will be indicated on the event listing.

12) Are advertisements included in all plans?

Not always.

  • Premium Subscription (No Ads): designed to be ad-free
  • Ad-Supported Subscription: includes ads
  • Linear streaming and PPV events: may contain ads and sponsor segments depending on programming format and availability

13) Why am I seeing ads even though I paid?

If you’re on an ad-free plan and still see ads, it may be because:

  • the content is part of a sponsored segment or event-based programming
  • platform-level promotional messaging is displaying
  • you are not logged into the correct subscription profile

If you believe this is an error, contact support.

14) Do you provide customer support?

Yes. If troubleshooting doesn’t work, contact us here:
